The Beginning: My Passion for Rubik’s Cubes
My journey with Rubik’s Cubes began when I was around 8 years old — what started as a curious fascination with a colorful puzzle soon became a full-blown obsession. I remember twisting the cube endlessly, not to solve it at first, but just to understand how it worked. Over time, that simple cube turned into something far more powerful: a tool that sharpened my focus, taught me patience, and gave me a deep sense of satisfaction every time I cracked a new algorithm.
I started practicing seriously, clocking in hours every day, learning finger tricks, F2L, and all the nuances of speedcubing. It wasn’t long before I entered the world of competitions. Since 2021, I’ve participated in 60+ speedcubing tournaments, earned 150+ podiums, and became a 4-time state champion, with my fastest official solve clocking in at 6.11 seconds. But beyond the trophies and the records, I found something even more valuable — a community of people who, like me, were passionate about learning, improving, and pushing boundaries.
From Podiums to Purpose: Organizing Workshops
As much as I loved competing, I realized that the real joy was in passing on the skill — especially to kids who were just getting started. That shift in mindset led me to launch workshops, both offline and online, where I could teach the cube in a structured, engaging way.
My first workshop was chaotic — I underestimated how many cubes I’d need, and watching a room full of eager kids sharing cubes mid-session taught me a quick lesson in logistics. But when one of those kids solved their first cube, the entire room erupted in cheers — that moment was unforgettable. It was then I realized I wasn’t just teaching a skill, I was creating confidence.
Since then, I’ve taught 600+ students, sold 30+ online courses, and developed a full workshop curriculum tailored to different age groups and levels. I’ve also had the honor of serving as a chief guest at events, conducting corporate sessions, and mentoring many young cubers who’ve gone on to compete.
Building AceCubing.com: Turning Passion into Business
I knew that if I wanted to scale this vision, I needed to bring it online. That’s when I launched AceCubing.com, my own website and platform where parents can buy courses, join workshops, and learn everything from 2x2 and 3x3 solving to advanced techniques. I designed the entire website myself, learned how to use Shopify, integrated payment gateways, and crafted every page to reflect the excitement of cubing.
But having a website wasn’t enough — I needed people to find it. So I started building an online presence on Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms. I created tutorials, behind-the-scenes clips, and beginner-friendly tips. Slowly but steadily, the traffic grew. Parents began reaching out. Orders started flowing in. And for the first time, I began to see how my hobby had grown into something much bigger — a real business.
I experimented with Meta ads, studied performance metrics, and tweaked everything from landing pages to offer bundles. The Beginner Bundle — a 2x2 + 3x3 course combo — became a hit. And every sale, every message from a parent or a kid, reminded me that this was more than just a startup — it was a mission.
Challenges, Failures & Income Milestones
There have been plenty of bumps along the way. From spending money on ads that didn’t convert, to launching a product that didn’t sell, to facing days where the sales graph was flat — I’ve seen it all. One of my biggest early mistakes was launching a course before validating the demand. I learned quickly that what works in your head doesn’t always work in the market.
But I treated every mistake like a lesson. I learned about A/B testing, customer psychology, and pricing models. I started tracking my metrics daily — not just revenue, but bounce rates, engagement, conversion rates — and gradually, the numbers began to grow. I crossed my first ₹10,000 in sales, then ₹50,000, and eventually, I hit six figures. But more important than the money was the freedom and confidence that came with it.
Running AceCubing alongside school (6:45 AM to 3:30 PM), gym, and tuitions was never easy. But every hour I put into this — whether it was writing email campaigns or filming content late at night — felt worth it. Because I wasn’t just building a business. I was building something of my own.
What’s Next
Today, AceCubing isn’t just about teaching cubes. It’s about empowering kids, building confidence, and showing that something as small as a puzzle can spark big change. I’m now working on expanding the platform — adding more courses, improving the app experience, and reaching even more parents and students across India.
I also mentor other student entrepreneurs, write about startups, and am working on a book based on conversations with global founders. My dream? To build something world-class — born in my room, built on a cube, and scaled to impact thousands.
